We thorougly enjoyed our stay at Toravaig House. Our room had a stunning view over the water to Mallaig. The facilites were excellent. We booked in for the gourmet 5 course dinner and were very pleased we did - it was stunning. Breakfast was gourmet and much appreciated. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Thanks
The location was convenient to the Armadale ferry and the setting was beautiful.
The service was courteous but not as friendly as other places we visited. The food was advertised as gourmet but we did not find that to be the case. Since it was expensive, we would not recommend this hotel to friends
The sense of understated luxury and quality about everything - the food; the service and the location.
Wine was a bit on the pricey side, I thought.
Friendly staff, Easy parking, Sea view, Excellent food. Shower was tremendous.
Bathroom although recently refurbished needs "punchlisting" Cold Tap needs new "c" Floor grouting needs a few parts touching up The gromet (bottom left) on the Bathroom mirror falls off when you wipe the mirror. There is also "an issue" with regard to noise from adjoining bathroom.
A small intimate hotel which had that special feel to it. If you want to relax and unwind, enjoy a drink infront of a log fire, enjoy superb food, beautifully presented and enjoy a refreshing sleep in beautifully decorated rooms, then this hotel will not dissappoint. The level of attention to detail is excellent and the friendliness of the staff is just right. For the level of service, the hotel and dinner costs are favourable.
Excellent service friendly staff in a beautiful setting
Very pleasant staff and very clean room. Also a nice quiet place.
The staff, facilities, and food were all excellent. I spent a day sailing with the owners, Ann and Ken, and they could not have been more gratious. They also own The Duisdale Hotel which has 18 guest room as compared to the 9 at Toravaig. I really enjoyed the Toravaig, but I imagine that with Ann and Ken as owners, The Duisdale would provide an equally wonderful experience.
Nice staff and a comfortable room. Food and accommodation prices a bit over rated
Friendly staff, excellent food.
We felt it was rather expensive. Our room was smaller then we expected but it was comfy as described.
It was excellent. The food was outstanding, staff friendly and helpful, room comfortable, decor modern and tasteful and in a nice lochside location.
Quality hotel with friendly staff able to give advice on local area and attractions. Well located for southern part of Skye close to the Armadale/Malliag ferry. Sailing trips available on owners own yacht which allows access to otherwise remote parts of the Skye coastline on the Sleat peninsula. Excellent food presented to a high standard.
A magnificent find. By far the best hotel we stayed at during our visit to Scotland and not the most expensive! Perfect setting, staff and facilities throughout. Food was as delicious as the welcome, the only disappointment was that we stayed for only one night.
We were delighted with the excellent food and attentive, courteous staff. Our bedroom was a good size with good amenities and an excellent scenic view The guest lounge was very comfortable with a welcoming open fire in the evening.
